| The Health and Safety Specialist is responsible for managing workplace health, safety and wellness programs across multiple states. |
Duties: |
| Safety responsibilities include worker's compensation administration, safety training, facility inspections and audits, OSHA reporting, leading safety committee and leading safety initiatives. and assists with overall health and wellness initiatives. Employee health responsibilities include ensuring our staff are current on immunizations and requirements needed to keep them working safely while treating patients. This entails overseeing and scheduling the employee clinic, handling employee communications, and updating and implementing health-related policies. Wellness responsibilities include leading the company-wide wellness committee, providing or overseeing health coaching, coordinating annual health screens and enhancing wellness resources. Employee health, wellness and safety are a priority for Advanced Home Care, and this position has important responsibilities to manage these efforts to promote and continuously improve the welfare of our employees. |
Qualifications: |
| The Health and Safety Specialist must be a graduate of an accredited university. A nursing degree is not required but is preferred. Minimum of 3 years experience in worker's compensation claims administration or case management and/or wellness/health program administration. At least 3 years experience in a health care setting is preferred. Must have the ability to be tactful with employees and to maintain strict confidentiality. |
