Description: |
This position involves providing all aspects of personal care to patients in their homes. These duties include tidying patient's area and linen change. |
Duties: |
| • Provides or assists with personal care including bath, mouth care, care of dentures, hair care, skin care, nail care, and clothing changes. • Performs linen change and tidies patient's immediate environment. • Obtains and records vital signs including temperature, pulse, respirations and blood pressure on each visit , if ordered on care plan. • Assists patient with elimination needs including bedpan, urinal, commode and emptying urinary drainage bags if present. • Assists with activity or mobility. • Provides a safe, secure environment for the patient while care is being given. • Instructs patient and family in safety measures. |
Qualifications: |
The CNA I must possess a High School diploma or equivalent, certification of completion of an approved program and have a valid certification from the state in which he/she would be practicing plus one year experience in a hospital or home care. Must be listed with the NC Division of Facility Services. The certification will have no substantiated findings. |
